As a board-certified periodontist, Dr. Peterson continually seeks to improve patient care and outcomes using minimally invasive technologies. As a certified LANAP® (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) clinician, he can eradicate gum disease without scalpels or sutures, resulting in regeneration of healthy gums without impacting surrounding healthy soft and hard tissue.
He also has extensive expertise in LAPIP™ (Laser Assisted Peri-Implantitis Procedure) in Arcadia, CA. This innovative approach gently reverses inflammation around dental implants and treats peri-implantitis, a condition similar to gum disease that can lead to implant failure without prompt treatment.
Dr. Peterson recently became one of an elite number of Certified Instructors at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD), reflecting his expertise and commitment to teaching colleagues the various applications for innovative LANAP and other techniques. In their congratulatory post, the IALD stated that Dr. Peterson’s passion for periodontal regeneration, laser dentistry, and digital implant workflows makes him a tremendous asset to their elite group of instructors.
